Artist Statement
"I am a writer, director, and performer who was born in Germany and raised in Turkey. I studied Acting, Economy and Human Rights Law, which led me to work in both arts and NGO fields in different parts of the world. I write texts, make films and create/take part in performances and installation/exhibitions focusing on questions of borders (physical and psychological), identity, sense of belonging and human nature, where I also frequently underline the hypocrisies and inconsistencies in the rhetorics that govern the political, social and personal spaces".
