"My work is influenced by the complex manifestations of change in the urban and rural landscapes and its reflections in collective memory, as well as in the multiple contradictions that arise from them. This brings my works close to the discourses around modernity, technology, and environmental history while it encourages me to work on the paradoxes of inheritance, archiving and preserving practices, especially in the field of botany.
My background in architecture and urban studies inspires me to assemble poetic and experiential paths to explore topics that interest me. My process may consist of field visits, archival research, gathering, initiating dialogues and collaborations, and making, mapping and writing. The outcomes of these processes can be defined as open-ended assemblages that can take various forms, from video essays and publications to site-specific installations and lecture performances. This also shapes my academic works that focus on exploring the possibilities of resilience and collectivity that artistic and curatorial practices can initiate in the face of emerging crises".
