Biography
Pinar Tatlikazan is a singer, songwriter, and architect. Born in Bursa, Turkey she moved to Berlin in 2010 where she started her music projects and wrote her master’s thesis on the connection between aural and visual perception. She participated in workshops and classes of renowned musicians in Berlin and during her semester in Amherst, Massachusetts. During the pandemic, she recorded her debut album with original compositions. She is currently working on the release under her artist, Pina Berlin.

Artist Statement
“Seeking a world where understanding and empathy are the basic ground of human communication has been the light of Pina Berlin when she is creating her music. Not being able to define the genre of her album at work with two words reflects itself on many parts of her life. She chose to be in the middle of countries, professions, cultures, people, perspectives, and genres. As challenging as it proved itself to be trying to find a balance and finding a real self in the middle of all, a lifetime of having a hard time choosing sides and caring more about empathizing and expressing a confused self fired her creativity. Pina took it as a duty to encourage those acts and tries to achieve it with her songs and music videos, but most of all by singing on a stage sharing the freedom of eye contact and connection with complete strangers”.
