    • Biography
    Türkan Kentel is a photographer. Her works are concentrated on landscapes, especially waterscapes, and staged and portrait photography. Since 2012 she has participated in several exhibitions in Berlin, Bremen, and Istanbul such as “Written on Water, 2021”, and “The Female Side of the Moon, 2021”. Her photo project “Alone in a Foreign Country: Female Guest Workers from Turkey, 2020” is about women from Turkey who migrated to Germany alone as guest workers in the 1960s and was funded by the Berlin Cultural Office. She lives and works in Berlin.

    "I am particularly interested in people and nature. Through my work, I take a deep, personal look at life to discover and understand the connections between things. Art is an enchanting way to see, think, feel, direct and make.

    I mainly work with landscapes, especially waterscapes, staged, and portrait photography".
