Artist Statement
“I started out as a painter. Over the last decade, I have been working on mixed media installations, calligraphy, video, and photography focusing on exploring different artistic mediums and materials. The themes I have worked on explore socio-political topics, such as Islamophobia, displacement, alienation, and patriarchy. More recently, I had been engaged in collaborations with other people, consciously using feminism as practice”.
